Auto seat cover
Most people never think about auto seat covers. The fact is, for your average driver they don’t make a difference. You don’t need an auto seat cover if all you do is commute to and from work. A car seat cover is only really required for the long hauls. If you are just driving to and from work, you won’t even notice it. If, however, you drive across the country, it will make a tremendous difference. You have to experience it to believe it.
A lot of people get auto seat covers because they think they look good. They do not look good. You really should not get one for that reason. They are horribly tacky – especially the beaded auto seat covers that are so popular. The only reason to get an auto seat cover is comfort. The fact is that they can make it a lot easier to sit in your car for a long period of time. Car seats, you see, are not ergonomically designed. People tend to sink into them if they are driving for a long period of time. An auto seat cover will keep you from slumping down too much, which will make your back feel better over the long haul. Also, an auto seat cover can prevent your seat from getting too hot when the car is sitting in the sun.
of course, before you get an auto seat cover you should try it out. I lot of stores don’t let you do this. They want you to buy one based on looks alone. They don’t want to go through the trouble of having to provide a display model. I understand why they want to save money, but you can’t possibly know if an auto seat cover is right for you without trying it out first. In fact, if the store will not let you try out their auto seat cover, you should probably go somewhere else. Who knows if it is a good quality truck seat cover if they won’t even let you sit down in it!
As a professional driver, I have had the opportunity to try out almost every last auto seat cushion that they make. Personally, I think that the modern ones are better than the classic designs. I know they look kind of funny, but they are scientifically designed to provide the most comfortable ride possible. And that is the most important thing!
